Hartlepool 0 - 3  Spraire Lads

Spraire Lads Under 16’s progressed through to the semi finals of the league cup with a hard fought win over first division Hartlepool. Hartlepool began the stronger attacking with a strong wind but finding a resolute defence hard to break down Spraire began to settle and after 15 minutes took the lead when a Ally Leigh cross was put in on the back post by Jacob crane. Spraire were having to defend some strong Hartlepool pressure but were looking dangerous on the break they kept Hartlepool out till half time. Spraire started the second with the wind and straight away went 2-0 up when a Zac Tervit throw was headed home by Reece Thompson. Spraire were making good use of the wind and went 3-0 up when Aaron Silliker headed home another Zac long throw. Hartlepool scored late on but Spraire held on to go through to the semi's an excellent team performance
